Memoirs of the Second World War (1939-1945)
Translated from French by Bernard Ranger
« It’s very tough for our soldiers. You have no idea…
I think about those that were not coming back with us.
Their spirit lies on the battle field with the sun as their only witness. »

I thank God for keeping me alive. I thought it would be worthwhile to write my memories of the war.
I am not a great author, but I went back to my civil and military life to share with you some unforgettable moments.
It’s hard for our soldiers, you have no idea of the destruction caused by war. You have to go and see it for yourself.
I think about those that were not coming back with us. They had died silently, for no reason it seemed. I was sad for them and they will not be forgotten. Their spirit lies on the battle field with the sun as their only witness.
You will read about the way it was back then as you discover the memories of a young soldier during the war of 1939-1945.
